What is the Stars Program?
- It is an opportunity for selected players to be introduced to tournament play and additional training. Tryouts will take place in July/August and incorporate year-round programming from team building exercises, training, fundraising and spring/summer tournaments.
The focus is on players who may be multi-sport athletes or engaged with other activities who are looking for growth and development on the diamond. Players get the benefit of training, tournament competition and TBB league play which is all included in the cost.
Travel Baseball is growing and very popular. The Stars program is designed to provide this for families who want their child to play at an elevated level while balancing other activities and summer
schedules.
Ages?
– Not each age group may have a team but we will field teams we can from the number of players trying out and available coaches.
Your child will tryout for the age group / division of your child's age as of 5/1/26.
Do all kids make the team?
– Unfortunately, no. With limited coaches, there is a tryout and teams typically take 10-12 players. Players will show an ability to play at an elevated level, have a positive attitude, willingness to develop and being a great teammate.
Schedule?
– While each team is different, typically a Stars program begins in early January with winter training, outdoor work in April, scrimmages/games with other community teams in the spring and compete in 2-3 (some teams more) tournaments throughout the summer.
Costs?
– The final expense will vary by team and be dependent on how many tournaments and options a coach wishes to pursue. Fees cover the cost of uniforms, tournaments, winter training and team supplies. The cost is on average
50-80% less than most travel organizations
. We believe cost should not be a barrier to getting on the field at any level. Each teams cost will be communicated to parents prior to accepting a spot on the team and can be spread out in multiple payments if desired.
Who’s Eligible?
– All players in the TBB and surrounding communities. Players are expected to play for their recreational team as well as the Stars team. IF YOU DID NOT PLAY IN TBB THIS SEASON, YOU CAN STILL TRYOUT AND REGISTER FOR 2026.
